Moisés Fuentes went out of operation; will remain in hospital until Wednesday

Moses Fuentes he went well after the operation that was performed this Sunday morning, after being hospitalized for the dramatic knockout of David Cuellar.

“I have been told that the surgery has gone well for Moses Fuentes, who will remain hospitalized at least until Wednesday, “he wrote Jake donovan from Boxing Scene. Fuentes entered the night by a brutal knockout in the sixth round against David Cuellar on Cancun”.

This was the comeback fight of Moses, after three years of inactivity. In his last contest he was knocked out by Román “Chocolatito” González in the fifth round.

According to other reports, the man from the capital had a clot in his brain and they have to wait to see his evolution during the next 72 hours.

The terrible knockout of Moisés Fuentes

During his combat with Cuellar suffered a lot of punishment and a round before, Mauricio Sulaiman, president of the WBC, asked to be detained.

His corner notified him on a couple of occasions that they were going to stop the fight for all the punishment he received, but he asked to continue competing.

However, the confrontation continued until David landed a left hook that sent Moses to the canvas unconscious.

Because of this, he had to be taken to the ring on a stretcher heading to the hospital to be checked, where he underwent surgery today.

Moses Fuentes began his career as a professional boxer in 2007. In August 2011, he became the minimum flyweight world champion by defeating Raul Garcia by split decision.

He also came to compete for the mini fly and fly belts of the OMB, but in both contests he lost.

In four of his last five fights he fell, and three were via chloroform.
