The quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa, returned to starting with the Miami Dolphins team.

Tua Tagovailoa, after missing much of the last four games – all Dolphins losses– By breaking several ribs during the Week 2 game against the Buffalo Bills, he took the reins of the offense against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London.

Brian Flores, the Dolphins head coach, made the announcement hours after the team traveled from Miami to England.

“Assuming everything goes well in practice, Tua is going to play from the beginning, “said the coach.

Not all injury news was positive for Miami on the day. The team reported that cornerback Xavien Howard suffered a shoulder and groin discomfort while wide receiver DeVante Parker has a shoulder and hamstring injury. Neither of them will play on Sunday.

The return of Tagovailoa represents a rematch of the quarterback duel who contested the College Football Playoff National Championship Game after the 2019 season. At the time, Clemson’s Trevor Lawrence edged Tagovailoa and Alabama 44-16.

Lawrence, drafted with the No. 1 overall pick in this year’s draft, will also be Jacksonville’s starter (0-5) in the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

“I know they are hungry to win as a team. And we want it too,” said Tagoivaloa.

He revealed that this is his first trip outside of the United States. He was struck by the way cars are driven in England, on the opposite side to that used in most nations.

“It’s amazing, very different,” he said. The Dolphins are also looking forward to different things with their return.
