Mario Ledesma announced the 32 players of The Pumas that they will travel to Europe to face the three games through the window of November. The Argentine team will be measured against France, Italy and Ireland in that order, on the 6th, 13th and 21st of said month. Nicolás Sánchez and Santiago Carreras are the two options that the Head Coach will have as openings.
The Tucuman back of Stade Francais, Nicolás Sánchez will bring his usual experience in the Argentine squad on his tour of Europe. The 10 has 90 games with the Los Pumas shirt, 83 of them as a starter, and two World Cups to his credit.
In the absence of Domingo Miotti and Joaquín Díaz Bonilla, the one chosen to fill the opening position in addition to Sánchez is Santiago Carreras.
The player who emerged in Córdoba Athletic, currently in Gloucester, was in charge of dressing the 10 against the All Blacks and Australia in the Rugby Championship 2021.
The 23-year-old Cordovan back was one of the bets on Mario Ledesma’s position. Ahead of the 2023 World Cup in France, the Head Coach decides to shoot Carreras as number 10.
