Without Ertz, Goedert’s return is a respite for the team’s roster

Philadelphia Eagles activated tight end Dallas Goedert off the roster reserve / COVID-19 on Thursday.

The move will add depth to the roster at the position after the Eagles traded veteran Zach Ertz to the Arizona Cardinals last Friday, despite the fact that Goedert he did not participate in Thursday’s practice. The Eagles said he trained out of illness.

Dallas goedert he was placed on the list on October 12 and missed last Thursday night’s game against the Buccaneers. With him out, Ertz started and caught a touchdown pass in the Eagles’ 28-22 loss.

GoedertThe 26-year-old is third with the Eagles with 216 yards passing and is tied with two others in catches for touchdown, with two with two. He has 15 catches total.

Goedert, a second-round draft pick in 2018, has 152 receptions for 1,681 yards and 14 for touchdown in his career with the Eagles.

The Eagles (2-4) play Sunday in Las Vegas against the Raiders (4-2).
