It will be the veteran quarterback’s second chance with the New Yorkers, who were left without rookie quarterback Zack Wilson due to injury.
The Philadelphia Eagles Veteran quarterback traded Joe flacco to the New York Jets in exchange for a conditional selection of the NFL Draft 2022 who can become a fifth-round pick, based on playing time for the passer, sources told Adam Schefter of ESPN.
The deal comes on the same day that an MRI revealed that the Los Angeles’ rookie quarterback Jets, Zach Wilson, suffers a sprain to the posterior cruciate ligament in his right knee, and he will be out of action for two to four weeks. Wilson was injured in the second period of the defeat of New York by 54-13 before New England Patriots last sunday when he got hit by the linebacker Matt Judon.
Flacco, 2012 Super Bowl MVP, started four games for the Jets in 2020 before signing for the Eagles in March and eight games for the Denver Broncos in 2019. He spent his first 11 seasons with the Baltimore Ravens, leading the club to six playoff appearances and a victory in the Super bowl.
FlaccoThe 36-year-old is 98-77 as a regular season starter and 10-5 as a playoff starter. He has completed 61.7 percent of his passes for 40,931 yards, with 224 touchdowns and 144 interceptions, along with a passer rating of 84.1.
