Ranking: Sinner climbed higher than ever and is already No. 11 in the world

New joy and special promotion. Jannick Sinner, just 20 years old, achieved his fifth official title, in Antwerp, thus achieving his highest position in the ATP world rankings. The Italian advanced two positions and is now No. 11, one step away from the prestigious Top 10.

His title on Belgian soil, over Argentine Diego Schwartzman in the final, helped Sinner win his fifth ATP competition, the best record on the circuit in 14 years, since Serbian Novak Djokovic had achieved it in 2007.

Thus, Sinner continues with a hot hand and is No. 2 in Italy, four places behind Matteo Berrettini. The champion in Antwerp has four titles in 2021 and aims to achieve a place in the ATP Finals in Turin, in his country

The list is still headed by Djokovic, escorted by Russian Daniil Medvedev and Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas completing the podium.

Among Latin Americans, Schwartzman remained leader but fell two places, despite the final in Antwerp, by points transferred in 2020, and is ranked No. 16. Thus, he is only one place above the Chilean Cristian Garin, who continues to be 17th in the world.

With a great climb in the Challenger, the champion of the ATP of Córdoba this season, the Argentine Juan Manuel Cerúndolo, rose eight places and got into the Top 100 for the first time, being the 94th in the world ranking. Meanwhile, his compatriot Sebastián Báez, who won the Challenger in Buenos Aires, improved 12 places and placed 112.
