Xavi Hernández, designated as the next Barcelona coach, said he was focused on his position and limited his words about the club culé
Al-Sadd coach Xavi Hernández, appointed as Barcelona’s next coach to replace Dutchman Ronald Koeman, declared this Thursday that he is focused on his work at the helm of the Qatari team and that he cannot say anything else.
“Currently I am focused on my work with Al Sadd and I can not talk about anything else,” said Xavi when asked about his possible departure to Barcelona.
The coach made these statements during his appearance before the media before the game against Al-Ahli in the eighth day of the QNB Stars League, which will be played on Saturday at the Thani bin Jassim stadium.
Koeman was dismissed after the defeat suffered by the team on Wednesday at the Rayo Vallecano stadium with a goal from Colombian Radamel Falcao (1-0). So far he has taken over the team, on an interim basis, Sergi Barjuan, who this Thursday afternoon directed his first training session.
