Dolphins vs. Bills - Game Report - October 31, 2021

ORCHARD PARK, New York USA – ORCHARD PARK, New York USA (AP) – Josh Allen brushed off the rust of a bye week that affected him in the first half to throw touchdown passes in consecutive offensive series in the second half, to give the Buffalo Bills a 26-11 victory Sunday over the Miami Dolphins.
After producing only 100 net offensive yards until the first offensive drive in the third quarter, Allen found his rhythm and commanded touchdown drives in which the Bills totaled 22 plays and ran for 151 yards.
The Bills took a 10-3 lead in the third quarter when Allen shook off pressure from Jaelan Phillips, who nearly caught him behind the scrimmage line, to throw an eight-yard touchdown pass to Gabriel Davis. He followed with a nine-play, 69-yard offensive drive that capped off a 19-yard touchdown pass to Stefon Diggs.
The Dolphins closed the gap to 17-11 with a one-yard Tua Tagovailoa score and a two-point pass to Mike Gesicki early in the fourth quarter.
Allen responded with a 14-play drive that ended with a 39-yard field goal by Tyler Bass. Jordan Poyer sealed the victory for the Bills with an interception to Tagovailoa with 2:21 to play.
Allen said goodbye to the Dolphins (1-7) with a seven-yard touchdown run with 1:07 to play and finished with 29 completions of 42 for 249 yards. He was the Bills’ leading rusher (5-2) with 55 yards.
