Steelers vs. Browns - Game Report - October 31, 2021

CLEVELAND (AP) – Ben Roethlisberger delivered another defeat to Cleveland, this time on Halloween, and the Pittsburgh Steelers survived the loss of their kicker Chris Boswell throughout the second half by taking a 15-10 victory on Sunday when visiting the Browns.

Roethlisberger threw a touchdown pass and rookie Najee Harris had an 8-yard touchdown run after the break for the Steelers (4-3), who were left without Boswell because of a concussion suffered on a trick play.

The Browns (4-4) had enough chances, but receiver Jarvis Landry fumbled and then failed to catch two passes from Baker Mayfield in the final 6:04 of the fourth quarter.

Roethlisberger was 24-3-1 as a starter against the division rivals Browns and 12-2-1 at Cleveland. The 38-year-old veteran finished 22 of 34 for 266 yards, 193 in the second half, when the Steelers had no margin for error.

Roethlisberger’s 2-yard touchdown pass to Pat Freiermuth came on fourth down and made it 15-10. Without the kicker, Pittsburgh played it with the conversion, but Roethlisberger’s pass was incomplete.
