Benzema scores Real Madrid's 1,000th goal in the Champions League

The French Karim Benzema, author of the 1-0 against Shakhtar Donetsk, has scored a historic goal, since it supposes number 1,000 in the history of Real Madrid in the Champions League, becoming the first club to do so.

It has done so after 455 matches, the one that has played the most in the first European competition at club level, in which it has become the most successful club with 13 trophies in its showcases.

Three of the top scorers in the history of the Champions League they have enlarged or forged their legend by wearing the white t-shirt. The Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo (140), the one who has scored the most goals, Benzema (73) and the Spanish Raúl González Blanco (70).
