The Argentinean Giovanni Simeone, forward of the Italian team Hellas Verona, has been chosen as October player of the month of the Italian Serie A for his great performance, the Association of Footballers in Italy reported today.
The son of the current Atlético de Madrid coach and former Inter Milan and Lazio player in Italy, Diego Pablo Simeone, has won the award after scoring 7 goals in just 5 games, obtained in just 11 shots on goal, during October: 4 to Lazio, 2 to Juventus and one to Spezia, an achievement that no other player surpassed this month.
The Argentine forward, born in Buenos Aires in 1995, has a goal average every 63.5 minutes, the second best record in Europe among players who have played at least ten games.
The “Cholito” surpassed to proclaim himself the best player of October to the Spanish Fabián Ruiz, who last month definitively established himself as the “director” of Napoli; Colombian Duvan Zapata, who is recovering his usual form and has already scored 6 goals this season, and Serbian Sergej Milinkovic-Savic from Lazio.
Thanks to his great performance, the Argentine player has become the fashionable footballer in Italy.
