Argentina Open concluded: Lourdes Carlé, runner-up in doubles

The WTA 125 in Buenos Aires was held again after 34 years in the mythical complex of the Buenos Aires Lawn Tennis Club. However, the party could not be complete, since the characteristic mate trophy was in the hands of foreigners. In doubles, Lourdes Carlé had a solid performance and was runner-up.

On the court Guillermo Vilas, the Hungarian tennis player Anna Bondar (135th), third seeded, beat Frenchwoman Diane Parry (174th) 6-3 and 6-3, and became the champion of the contest, this being her first WTA tournament.

In singles, it is worth highlighting the performance of Solana Sierra, who overcame the first round against Sol Faga 6-2, 6-4 and then was eliminated against Despina Papamichail (199 °) in a highly contested match.

On the other hand, in the doubles mode, María Lourdes Carlé (261 °) from Dero, accompanied by Papamichail (his executioner in the first phase) they fell in the final before the favorite duo, made up of Ekaterine Gorgodze and Irina Bara, by 5-7, 7-5 and 10-4.
