Criollos exploded with three home runs and removed Cangrejeros undefeated in LBPRC

The Caguas Criollos had an explosive offense that included three home runs to defeat the Santurce Cangrejeros 7-3, who lost for the first time in the incipient season of the Roberto Clemente Professional Baseball League.

Juan Centeno took her out of the park with two teammates on board in the first inning, Vimael Machín went 2-2 with a home run, two RBIs and two runs scored, and Edwin Díaz hit a solo home run.

Julio Morales (1-0) covered two perfect innings to claim victory. Patrick Weigel (0-1) fell, allowing six touchdowns and four hits in three innings.

At Carolina, the Giants scored three runs in the seventh inning to reverse a deficit and beat RA12, which made its debut for the season, 5-2.

Bryant Torres responded with a pinch-hitting RBI single to start the reaction for the Giants, who had two more touchdowns in the seventh on two wild pitches by Francisco Lopez. Oscar Santos hit a two-run homer.

Giovanni Soto (1-0) scored the victory after striking out three opponents in a blank episode. Sidney Duprey lost (0-1), after allowing one run and two hits in 3 1/3 chapters.

The Indians lead the tournament with a 2-0 record, followed by Cangrejeros (2-1), Criollos (1-2), Gigantes (1-2) and RA12 (0-1).
