MIAMI GARDENS (AP) – Xavien Howard fumbled and returned 49 yards to score this Thursday as the Miami Dolphins beat the Baltimore Ravens 22-10 by surprise.
Tua Tagoivaloa left the bench and capped his night with a one-yard run to score with 2:19 left for the Dolphins (3-7).
Jason Sanders contributed three field goals to the Miami cause, which posted its second victory in five days.
Left-hander Tagovailoa, who couldn’t start with a broken left finger, threw for 158 yards. He replaced Jacoby Brissett, who passed for 156 yards but left in the third quarter with a right knee injury.
Baltimore saw a streak of 51 straight regular-season games snapped with at least 14 points. It was the second-longest such streak in NFL history, after the New England Patriots’ 63 games between 2009 and 2013.
