In Turin, Djokovic and Rublev will meet for the first time

The winners of the first day of the Green Group, Novak Djokovic (1st) and Andrey Rublev (5th), will be head-to-head on Wednesday looking for a win that brings them closer to the semifinals at the ATP Finals in Turin. You can follow the game, starting at 10:00 (Argentine time), on ESPN 2 and Star +.

It will be a special event as there are no previous records between them, except for the doubles in the Davis Cup series between Russia and Serbia. The owner of 20 Grand Slam defeated in his first match the Norwegian Casper Ruud with partials of 7-6 and 6-2, while the Russian did the same against the Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas, 6-4 and 6-4.

The Pala Alpitour, scene of the appointment of the “Masters”, will feature a Djokovic thirsty for glory and in the fight for his sixth trophy in the tournament (he would equal Federer) and with an emboldened Rublev who wants to spoil the party and get in between the four best of the contest.

Whoever is the winner will be left with a foot and a half classified; but he will not certify his pass to the semifinals and he will have to wait for the result between Ruud and Tsitsipas, a match that will close the day’s action.
