The triumph of Nicolas Mahut and Pierre-Hugues Herbert (couple No. 3) against Bruno Soares and Jamie Murray (No. 7) by 6-3 and 7-6 (5) ended the group stage matches and, in this way, the semi-final quotas were completed.

The french, champions of the tournament in 2019, qualified second in the Red Group and They will be rivals of the couple made up of the Argentine Horacio Zeballos and the Spanish Marcel Granollers (Nº4), first in the Green Group with two wins and one loss. They met twice (Acapulco and Madrid 2021) and in both it was victory for the Mar del Plata and the Barcelona player.

The other semifinal will be played between Nikola Mektic-Mate Pavic (No. 1) and Rajeev Ram-Joe Salisbury (No. 2). The Croats are the top contenders for the title and throughout the season they won eight trophies, in addition to Olympic gold in Tokyo. In Turin, in the Round Robin, they lost to Zeballos and Granollers but the triumphs against Dodig-Polasek and Krawietz-Tecau, classified them in second term.

For their part, the duo made up of the American and the British passed first in the group (with three celebrations) and left the Colombians out of the contest. Juan Sebastián Cabal and Robert Farah, which for the first time in the three editions they played did not reach the semifinals.

Thus, Ram-Salisbury will try to repeat the result of the last match against the Croats: they prevailed in three sets at the Masters 1000 in Toronto, Canada. However, the record favors the favorites with three wins and one loss, all in 2021.
