Nikola Jokic (sprained wrist), out against Chicago Bulls

DENVER – The Denver Nuggets were without reigning MVP Nikola Jokic Friday night for the game against the Chicago Bulls due to a sprained right wrist.

Jokic appeared to hurt his wrist the night before in a home loss to the Philadelphia 76ers. The Nuggets big man is averaging 26.4 points, 13.6 rebounds and 6.4 assists.

“Every time a team in this league loses a really good player, and you’re talking about a player who’s playing at an incredible level for a long period of time, it’s always a challenge,” said Bulls coach Billy Donovan.

Jokic missed the victory over the Indiana Pacers on Nov. 10 when he served a one-game suspension for his role in a fight with the Miami Heat’s Markieff Morris.

The Nuggets were already without Jamal Murray (knee) and Michael Porter Jr. (back).
