World Rugby confirmed dates for Rugby World Cup 2021 Women's Qualifying Tournament

World Rugby announced that the TOrneo Final Qualifier for Rugby World Cup 2021 will be played on February 18 and 24, 2022, in The Sevens Stadium from Dubai.

Scotland, Samoa, Colombia and the play-off winner between Hong Kong and Kazakhstan will compete for the last available spot in the Group A from Rugby World Cup 2021 in New Zealand, now to be played from October 8 to November 12, 2022.

The Final Qualifying Tournament will be played in a semi-final and final format over two days. Teams will be grouped by World Rugby Women’s Ranking as of December 20, 2021.

It will be the first time that the women’s edition of the Rugby World Cup has a Final Qualifying Tournament, offering a second path to qualification for RWC 2021, as the winner will secure their spot in Group A alongside New Zealand, Australia and Wales.

Eleven teams have already secured their place in Rugby World Cup 2021including New Zealand, England, France, Canada, the United States, Australia and Wales, who qualified thanks to their final ranking in Ireland 2017; South Africa, Fiji, Italy and Japan sorted across their regions.
