Uruguay and Chile will compete in the SAR 7s in search of a ticket to the 2022 World Cup

Uruguay and Chile will compete on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 November at the Seven Latin American, looking to get the two places at stake for the World Cup in South Africa 2022.

The tournament will be played at the National Stadium of San José in Costa Rica and will face nine selected teams: Brazil, Chile, Uruguay, Guatemala, Peru, Panama, El Salvador, Nicaragua and the host Costa Rica.

The nine teams will be divided into three zones of three teams each. Chile will share Group B with Peru and El Salvador, while Los Teros 7’s will be in Group C with Costa Rica and Nicaragua.

With the end of the first stage, a ranking will be generated to define the four semifinalists in search of the tickets. The second day will have another fifteen games, including the semifinals and the final. The finalists will get their ticket to South Africa 2022, to accompany Los Pumas 7’s, the already classified team in the region.
