Houston Rockets rookie guard Jalen Green will miss at least a week due to a strained left hamstring, coach Stephen Silas told reporters on Friday.
Green, the second overall pick in the NBA draft, came off Wednesday’s 118-113 win over the Chicago Bulls in the second quarter due to injury.
Silas maintained that Green would be revalued in a week, but there is no set date for his return.
The Rockets (2-16), who are trying to rebuild with Green as the centerpiece, snapped a 15-game losing streak to upset the Bulls.
Green, 19, has started every game this season. He is averaging 14 points, 2.3 assists and 2.7 turnovers per game while shooting 38.2% and 27.8% on 3s.
