Tomás Etcheverry ended his 2021

Tomás Etcheverry (129 °), of great 2021, ended his season after having dropped out of the Sao Paulo and Florianópolis Challengers. Both to be disputed between the end of November and the beginning of December.

With the year finished, the native of La Plata closes 2021 with several objectives met. The first of them is to have achieved its best historical ranking, positioning itself as 129 in the world. He also had great performances on the Challenger circuit where he established himself in Trieste and Perugia, both in Italy.

Beyond the titles, he was also the protagonist in the tournaments of Antalya 2, Biella 6 and 7, Forli, Todi, Banja Luka, Guayaquil and Campinas, being a semifinalist in all of them. He also added a runner-up at Cordenons and a second round at the ATP 250 in Córdoba, a contest in which he beat Andrej Martin.

Looking ahead to 2022, Etcheverry will prepare the Australian tour that will begin in Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney with its different ATP 250s as a prologue to what will be the Australian Open.
