Davis Cup: Novak Djokovic failed to save Serbia

Pure tension for Serbia. Novak Djokovic first won with authority of number one to Jan Lennard Struff by 6-2 and 6-4 to redirect the situation in the confrontation against Germany, twisted after the previous defeat of Filip Krajinovic against Dominik Koepfer, in the Davis Cup Finals. In closing, in doubles he was break up in the third set but fell and must wait for the final round.

The Belgrade tennis player took an hour and 14 minutes to resolve the duel with Struff (51st ATP), whom he had already beaten in the four previous matches they had settled, the last one last year at the US Open.

This, after the triumph of the Teuton Dominik Koepfer against Filip Krajinovic by 7-6 (4) and 6-4.

Then, the duel was resolved in the doubles clash for which Nikola Cacic and Novak Djokovic donned overalls. Even so, it was a victory for Kevin Krawietz – Tim Puetz who came back from 2-4 in the third for 7-6 (5), 3-6 and 7-6 (5).
