Messi and Paredes, absent from PSG training due to gastroenteritis

Leo Messi, who won his seventh Ballon d’Or on Monday, did not participate this Tuesday in the Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) training session, nor did his compatriot Leandro Paredes, both due to gastroenteritis.

The club indicated in the medical balance prior to Wednesday’s league match against Nice that tomorrow it will release a new note on its evolution.

The statement did not offer any new details on the state of Brazilian Neymar, who on Monday said he will be out for “six to eight” weeks after suffering ligament injuries in his left ankle in Sunday’s game against Saint-Étienne.

PSG won that match, 1-3, and the player had to leave the field on a stretcher in the 87th minute after a tackle from Yvann Maçon.
