Cristian Romero, a player for Tottenham Hotspur and the Argentine National Team, will be out, at least, until 2022, after his muscle injury has been described as “serious” by Antonio Conte.
The Italian coach did not want to give Romero recovery deadlines, but he did confirm that he will not be able to play anymore in this 2021.
The Argentine defender suffered a muscular injury in the South American Qualifying game against Brazil and has since undergone various tests with the Spurs’ medical services.
“There is no good news about Romero. The injury is serious and I think it will take time until we can count on him again. You have to see his injury day by day”Conte said.
“Now he is concentrating on the recovery process. He will need time. It is a shame because he is an important player for us, but the injury is serious. January, February … I do not know when he will be able to return, but what is certain is that in 2021 he will not play anymore “added the Italian.
Conte did give good news about Giovani Lo Celso, who has missed the last two Premier matches, and said that the Argentine will be able to return to the group after the game against Brentford on Thursday.
