Berdych: "Federer has nothing to prove"

Tomas Berdych, who retired from tennis two years ago and was among the best four in the world (2015) as well as being a finalist at Wimbledon and a semi-finalist in the rest of the Grand Slam tournaments, spoke about Roger Federer’s return to the circuit.

In dialogue with Reuters the Czech said: “Maybe he wants to get back on the court and maybe make the decision and if he’s going to play his last tournament, for his huge fan base around the world, but if he doesn’t, that’s fine.”

“He has nothing to prove so it’s up to him how he feels and how he wants to do it at the end of the day.” concluded the winner of 13 ATP tournaments, who is currently at the Champions Tennis event in London.
