Ficovich-Darderi, the final at the San Pablo Challenger

Unpublished final in the Challenger of São Paulo, in Brazil, and with different ways of arriving for the classifieds. Because Luciano Darderi (443 ° in the world ranking) passed through a walkover by Felipe Meligeni Alves (209 °) and Juan Pablo Ficovich (285 ° ATP) beat Nicolás Jarry (160 °) in two sets.

The geselino who represents Italy, reached the decisive day from qualifying, because his rival tested positive for Covid-19 and could not be presented. Apparently Meligeni would have tested positive for the official PCR on Thursday but they let him play on Friday because he had an antigen test that came back negative.

For his part, in the only duel of the day (the doubles final also featured Meligeni and enshrined Nicolás Barrientos and Alejandro Gómez from Colombia without playing), Ficovich beat a much more experienced Jarry in this class of instances with a great level by 6-2 and 7-6 (5). The 24-year-old Argentine will be looking to lift his first title in the category.

Ficovich rises to position 253 and if he wins it will be 230. Meanwhile, the numbers for Darderi give that so far he goes to place 341 and if he is champion it will be 308.
