Javier Mascherano, historical player of the Argentine National Team, became the new coach of the Sub 20.
The Boss met this Thursday with the president of the AFA, Claudio Tapia, to seal their bond. In this way, Masche will replace Fernando Batista, who left his position to be José Pekerman’s field assistant in the Venezuelan National Team.
The Mascherano cycle will start from January 2022 and the brand new DT will be accompanied by the physical trainer Pablo Blanco and the technical assistant Oscar Hernández Romero.
The former Albiceleste captain had taken over at the beginning of this year at the head of the Methodology and Development Department, in which a comprehensive plan was designed to align the Male and Female Youth Teams in the same style and identity.
