Paul George suffers a contusion on his right elbow

LA Clippers star forward Paul George was ruled out before Wednesday night’s game against the Boston Celtics with a concussion to his right elbow.

George was originally listed as questionable and went through pregame warm-ups before being ruled out.

Veteran forward Nicolas Batum returned after missing nine straight games and replaced George in the starting lineup. Batum was on health and safety protocols before coming back up with his conditioning to play again.

With Kawhi Leonard (knee) out indefinitely, George has led the Clippers with 25 points, 7.3 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game this season. He had 21 points, eight rebounds, four assists and four steals in 39 minutes in a 102-90 win over the Blazers on Monday.
