Then He will stay in Sydney to play the ATP 250 that will serve him as a pre-event to the first Grand Slam of the season, as the Australian Open will begin on January 17.
Already in February he will start the clay tour of Latin America although he will skip the competitions in Argentina. His first tournament will be played in Rio (February 14) and the following week he will be back in his country to defend the title of champion. Nor will he miss a priori the appointment that will take place in the Davis Cup between March 4 and 5 and in which Chile faces Slovenia in the Group I Playoff.
