World Rugby Awards: Zoe Aldcroft won Player of the Year award

The England player Zoe Aldcroft took the “Female XV Player of the Year Award” in the World Rugby Awards, the awards that the governing body of oval sport awards every year.

With an exceptional season, the British topped a La Rosa team that won the Six Nations and finished the year undefeated.

She was named England captain for the first time on her 25th birthday. Zoe Aldcroft led the Red Roses to an 89-0 win over the United States, where she scored a try.
