Stephen Curry breaks Ray Allen's 3-point record

The history of triples in the NBA has a new record and a new owner …

Stephen Curry arrived Tuesday night at Madison Saquare Garden to face the New York Knicks with one goal: To become the leading scorer since the all-time range of three in the Association and it didn’t take long.

With 10:56 in the first quarter, the ‘Chef’ tied Ray Allen with the most triples to reach 2 thousand 973. Minutes later he was in charge of passing it with 7:33 remaining in the first quarter.

Curry hit his 3,974 when he shot from the right wing, waving his arms skyward as he sprinted down the floor. The Warriors subsequently fouled and quickly called for a timeout to celebrate.

Curry exchanged hugs with coach Steve Kerr, his teammate Draymond Green, family members and Allen, who was in the arena.
