Champions Cup: Ulster was left with a tight match against Northampton

This weekend a new date of the Champions Cup, in a day that had several games suspended or canceled. In the only duel on Friday, Ulster defeated by 27-22 Northampton.


The local team came out ready to dominate, proof of this is the try at the minute of the kick off that Herring supported; Although Ulster managed to score another try in the first half, Northampton bet on Furbank’s successful use of the foot to avoid being relegated on the scoreboard. Despite this, and the two tries that added in the complement, Ulster came back and stayed with the disputed match.

Notably postponed: Bath Rugby v Stade Rochelais, Sale Sharks v ASM Clermont Auvergne, Scarlets v Union Bordeaux-Bègles, Stade Toulousain v Wasps and Stade Francais Paris v Bristol Bears; while Montepellier and Racing 92 won their matches 28-0 due to the impossibility of Leinster and Ospreys, respectively, to appear.
