Atlanta Hawks star point guard Trae Young has tested positive for COVID-19 and will miss Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Cavaliers, sources told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Young has entered the NBA’s health and safety protocols, the sources said. You will need two negative tests 24 hours apart to get out of these.
The Hawks currently have no other players listed in their injury report protocols. The Cavaliers placed rookie Evan Mobley in the protocols before Saturday’s win over the Milwaukee Bucks.
Young ranks second in the NBA with 27.3 points per game and third in assists with 9.3 per night.
