Titans vs. Steelers - Game Report - December 19, 2021

PITTSBURGH (AP) – Ben Roethlisberger scored a rushing touchdown for the first time in the past three years, Chris Boswell had four field goals and the Pittsburgh Steelers kept their playoff hopes alive with a 19-13 victory over the Los Angeles. Tennessee Titans.

The Steelers (7-6-1) caused four turnovers for the Titans (9-5) and needed each of them to add their second win in three games.

Tennessee moved well into Pittsburgh territory in the final moments, but wide receiver Nick Westbrook-Ikhine was tackled within inches of getting the Steelers’ first down at the 11-yard line with 27 seconds left.

Roethlisberger threw for 148 yards to pass Philip Rivers for fifth in NFL history in passing yards, but it was his legs – and Pittsburgh’s fierce defense – that made the difference.
