Less than two months ago, Barracas Central won the final of the Gold Cup against Racing 3-2, and 10 days ago he was once again champion of the First Division Futsal League, which makes him undoubtedly the best team of the season. But if something was missing, this Sunday he was crowned champion of the National Futsal League, whose final phase was played throughout the last week in San Juan.
El Guapo confirmed that he was the best in each tournament in which he participated. This Sunday they beat Boca 5-4 in the final and stayed with the National League, played in San Juan.
And the final did not look good for the champion. He started losing 0-2. Pablo Vidal gave Boca the advantage and Agustín Maldonado expanded it, in a context in which Xeneixe was the absolute owner of the game.
But Barracas had several high points throughout the year. And one without a doubt was the talent and self-confidence of the Venezuelan Andrés Terán and through him the discount came just before the first half was over.
In the complement, Oscar Fernández scored the tie. But four minutes from the end, with a controversial sixth foul, Xeneize again took the lead at Vidal’s feet.
He did not surrender and out of pure Guapo, 35 seconds before the closing was tied by another high point in the barraqueño, Nahuel Bontempo, to force the extension.
In the second half of the supplementary, sixth foul, Matías Usinger scored the 4-3, but Franco Spellanzón tied it one minute from the end with Boca played in attack in the 5 against 4.
Eleven seconds left, the very good Venezuelan pivot Oscar Fernández converted the 5-4. And Boca had two more chances, but both were resolved by another of this year’s key players, goalkeeper Nicolá Kravetzky.
Barracas Central closed a season with a pure title, he put in the three great tournaments of the year, in a season that will be difficult to forget and imitate.
