End of the year with care for Alexander Zverev. The Olympic champion was elected German Sportsman of the Year 2021.
Zverev consecrated himself with gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics in the singles event in addition to winning the season-ending ATP Finals for the second time.
The award is organized by the news agency Internationale Sport-Korrespondenz (ISK) since 1947. He added 1739 points, beating another Olympic champion: swimmer Florian Wellbrock, bream in open water (1198).
Among women, won the athlete Malaika Mihambo (Golden in Tokyo in long jump), in a final list that included seven German Olympic champions in Japan in the top seven.
