Nets-Trail Blazers game postponed because Brooklyn has no minimum available players

The game scheduled for Thursday between the Nets and the Trail Blazers was postponed as the NBA announced that Brooklyn does not have the minimum of eight available players available for the game.

This is the Nets’ third straight game to be postponed since last week. Games against the Denver Nuggets on Sunday and the Washington Wizards on Tuesday were also canceled.

The Nets had placed 10 players in the league’s health and safety protocols since Tuesday, including stars Kevin Durant, James Harden and Kyrie Irving. That’s the highest known figure for any team in the league.

Eight NBA games in total have been postponed so far this season.

Brooklyn’s next scheduled game is Christmas Day against the Los Angeles Lakers (8 p.m. ET, ABC / ESPN), although the NBA has told teams that changing some game times is a possibility for all five planned games. for that day if coronavirus-related issues force lineup changes.
