It is that this Wednesday the organization of the contest announced that the presence of Austrian Dominic Thiem (15th), pupil of Nicolás Massú, once top ten and champion of the US Open 2020.
It should be remembered that Thiem was 3rd in the world in 2020 and won the first and only Grand Slam in his career so far at the US Open that year.
This will be the the first time the Austrian will play on Chilean soil. Although he has not competed since June this year due to an injury, he is already preparing for the 2022 season. Thiem had already confirmed his presence in Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro.
