With just under a month to start the first Grand Slam tournament of the season, the Australian Open, Argentina’s Nadia Podoroska (No. 84) has already confirmed her doubles partner.
To compete in this modality, the native of Rosario will play alongside the Brazilian Beatriz Haddad Maia (No. 83). However, this will not be the first time that they will be a couple in a contest.
The first time they played together was in 2017, at the WTA 250 tournament in Bogotá. There they won the title after defeating the Paraguayan Verónica Cepede Royg and the Polish Magda Linette. Y the second and last occasion occurred in 2018 at the ITF tournament in Templeton, California, with defeat in the first instance against Channel Simonds and Jessy Rompies.
In doubles, during 2021, Podoroska achieved her best result in the WTA 250 contests of Phillip Island, Monterrey and Roland Garros in which he agreed to semifinals.
