Stephen Curry, one triple from reaching 3,000 in his career

Golden State Warriors star point guard Stephen Curry continues to nurture his personal story and add NBA brands, or go for nothing …

On Saturday, during the Christmas game against the Phoenix Suns, the Chef fell to a triple of the 3,000 in his career.

Curry finished the game against the Suns with 33 points, a product of 10-27 from the field, 5-16 from the arc and 8-9 from free range. Had he hit one more triple, Curry would have hit the 3,000 mark that he will evidently break on Tuesday when the Warriors host the Nuggets.

But the night was not entirely bad for Curry, as according to ESPN Stats & Info, Curry is already one of three players to score more than 30 points in a Christmas game at age 33 or older. The others are Kobe Bryant in 2012 (34 at 34-124 years) and Chauncey Billups in 2010 (30 at 34-91 years)
