New positives in Celta's return to training

Celta de Vigo detected this Monday new positives for COVID-19 in the antigen tests that the players underwent upon arrival at the Afouteza sports city.

The sky blue team resumed training after five and a half days of Christmas holidays, with a session in which Argentine Eduardo “Chacho” Coudet had to work with small groups due to the new restrictions.

Winger Kevin Vázquez, Argentine winger Augusto Solari and Brazilian forward Thiago Galhardo exercised outside the group to accelerate their respective recovery processes.

The three, however, have very difficult to get to the first game of 2022, which will face Celta with Betis at Benito Villamarín, where the Galician team has not won for more than eight years.

All the players have undergone an antigen test this afternoon, and those who have tested negative will be able to train tomorrow as a group under Coudet’s orders.
