The first matches of the All Against All of the 2021-22 season begin tonight in “Los Macorises”, beginning with the Cibaeños duel between Gigantes and Aguilas.

While in San Pedro, Albert Abreu and Radhamés Liz face each other as the starting pitchers in the match between the Estrellas Orientales and Tigres del Licey.

Aguilas Cibaeñas vs Gigantes del Cibao

The current National Champions visit Julián Javier with several new additions to their roster that include Mexican starter Francisco Ríos, American reliever Brandon Brosher, Venezuelan ranger Danry Vasquez and Venezuelan pitcher Elvis Araujo.

“El Guerrero” Yunesky Maya will be the starting pitcher for Santiago’s team, who suffer several casualties on their roster, the most important being their MVP in the regular season, Leodys Taveras.

Instead the Giants go to the mound with imported southpaw Tyler Alexander, who in the regular season had a 2.75 ERA with 32 hits and 11 earned runs in 36 innings of work.

Those of San Francisco will be supported in their powerful offensive commanded by José Sirí, Hanser Alberto, Marcell Ozuna, Juan Francisco and others.

Tigres del Licey vs Estrellas Orientales

The Tetelo Vargas Stadium will be the setting for the first duel of the Round Robin between Stars and Tigres with starting pitchers Radhamés Liz and Lisalverto Bonilla, who comes in to replace Albert Abreu.

In Liz’s case, he has been one of the most dominant pitchers of the regular season with a 1.60 ERA and just 26 hits in 36 1/3 innings.

Abreu, who was scheduled to pitch from the start and was substituted an hour before the start of the game, has been a pleasant surprise for the Blues with his 2.25 ERA in six starts this season where he has only allowed 6 earned runs in 24 innings of work.

The Stars will count on offense with a Robinson Cano focused on “playing the same old baseball” without giving much thought that they are in the postseason so as not to create additional pressure.
