The Italian Rugby Federation suspended competitions due to the coronavirus

As a consequence of the extension of the national emergency by the Italian government, the Italian Rugby Federation suspended the development of its national and non-national competitions, with the exception of the Top 10 and the Italian Cup.

This measure is effective immediately and dictates the suspension of activity until January 30 inclusive, looking like this “safeguard the health of members and responsibility towards the country-system“, according to the institutional statement.

In addition, the mother entity of rugby in Italy called on clubs and partners to actively contribute to prevention measures and will publish a new protocol to be followed on January 10, based on future government recommendations.
