Gianluigi Donnarumma, new case of Covid in PSG

The Italian Gianluigi Donnarumma, goalkeeper of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), has tested positive for covid-19, His club announced on Tuesday, adding that the tests carried out on Monday and Tuesday to the Spanish Juan Bernat have come out negative and he will be able to resume training this Wednesday.

“The goalkeeper is isolated and is subject to the corresponding health protocol”, PSG indicated on Twitter.

The club had communicated on Sunday and Monday the positives of Danilo, Leo Messi, Bernat, Sergio Rico and Nathan Bitumazala, but from that list the Spanish defender has already come out, so with the inclusion of Donnarumma there are still five officers on leave due to coronavirus.

Sports training thus reflects the strong expansion of covid infections caused by the omicron variant. In France, for a week there have been around 200,000 cases a day.
