Gerrard confirmed that Frenchman Lucas Digne, the Villains’ latest signing, is also available.

Philippe Coutinho will be able to debut this Saturday with the Aston Villa shirt in the duel against Manchester United.

The Brazilian midfielder is ready, as confirmed by his coach, Steve Gerrard at a press conference.

“Philippe has trained with us for three days and has had no problems. We just have to work on his preparation for the match and his fitness.” He said Gerrard.

Coutinho, who has signed with the town on loan until the end of the season, he has just passed the covid and some physical problems that have prevented him from playing with him Barcelona since December.

The footballer underwent a medical examination this week and landed in birmingham this Tuesday, before joining team training on Wednesday.

What’s more, Gerrard confirmed that the French Lucas Digne, the Villains’ latest signing, is also available.

“Both of them are ready to be called up and in a good position to play, but obviously we will decide before the match.” said the English coach.
