A summer with a lot of international football with the Río de la Plata Series by Star+

In continuity with the summer soccer proposals in South America, the Río de la Plata Series begins, from Sunday, January 16 to Thursday, February 3. Uruguay will host these international pre-season tournaments with Maldonado, Colonia and Montevideo as the main stages to host eight local teams, nine Argentines and three Chileans. It can be enjoyed throughout Latin America by Star +, in Argentina through FOX Sports Premium and will also be available in the US via ESPN +.

In this historic championship there will be five days of pre-season cups (nine trophies at stake) and four quadrangular format tournaments, with four cups in dispute, in which each date will have an outcome on the following day with matches for third and first place . The outstanding match is the Charrúa classic with the current champion, Peñarol, against Nacional from the mythical Centenario Stadium on Saturday, January 22, within the Atilio and Morena Cup. Also the Mendoza classic with Independiente Rivadavia vs. Gymnastics and Fencing on the penultimate game date.

Teams: Nacional, Peñarol, Defensor, Danubio, Liverpool, Cerro Largo, River and Wanderers (Uruguay); Barracas Central, Students of La Plata, San Lorenzo, Belgrano, Independiente Rivadavia, Gimnasia y Esgrima de Mendoza, Instituto, Temperley and Sarmiento (Argentina); Spanish Union, Santiago Wanderers and Ñublense (Chile).

Star+ will broadcast live and exclusively for Latin America all the matches of the Río de la Plata Series (in Argentina it can be enjoyed through FOX Sports Premium).
